When a baby is crying a lot and it's not clear why, colic can be a common problem.
Here are some tips for parents that may help:

A baby can often be soothed by placing them on their stomach, whilst you are present of course.

Try removing animal based milk to reduce any potential allergies.

If breast feeding your baby avoid eating foods from the brassica family such as cabbage, kale, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower which can upset the baby’s digestion.

Evenings can be more of an upsetting time if colic is a problem. This is due to naturally low melatonin levels, which is completely normal in infants. Babies need to sleep less at night so as not to miss feeds.

If you are concerned then a cranial osteopathy treatment could be very helpful in releasing the cause.
